PENGARUH EDUKASI PERILAKU SEKSUAL BERISIKO DENGAN MEDIA VIDEO BERGAMBAR TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUANREMAJA DALAM MENCEGAH PENYAKITINFEKSI MENULAR SEXUAL DISMA NEGERI ITEMINABUAN KABUPATEN SORONGSELATAN

ABSTRACT

Background: Adolescents are an age group vulnerable to risky sexual behavior due to a
lack of knowledge and understanding of reproductive health, including the prevention of
sexually transmitted infections (STIs). At SMA Negeri 1 Teminabuan, South Sorong
Regency, cases of risky sexual behavior have begun to increase. Therefore, educational
efforts are needed that are engaging and easy for adolescents to understand, one of which
is through illustrated videos.
Methods: This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest
approach. The sample in this study were 72 students of grade XI of SMA Negeri 1
Teminabuan, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was
a questionnaire on knowledge about STIs administered before and after the educational
intervention. The educational media used was an interactive illustrated video discussing

risky sexual behavior and STI prevention. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-
Test statistical test.

Results: The results of the study showed a significant increase in adolescent knowledge
after being given education through illustrated video media. The average pre-test
knowledge was obtained for 72 respondents (100%), after being given video education,
the average knowledge category was Good (78%), 12 respondents were in the Sufficient
category (17%), and 4 respondents (6%) had insufficient knowledge. With a p-value
of 0.000 <0.005.
Conclusion: Education using visual video media has proven effective in increasing
adolescents' knowledge about risky sexual behavior and preventing sexually transmitted
infections. This visual approach can be an alternative educational strategy that is engaging
and easily accepted by adolescents.
